the lack of FUT and all the other new game modes coming to fifa will probably draw me towards getting fifa anyway. everything is so much more realistic then fifa.īut. The most realistic football game I've ever played in my entire life it is miles ahead of fifa passing, shooting, ball control. The idea of EA trying to push it as a legitimate esport is particularly hilarious. Shame really, because after this year I'd happily drop Fifa after this year's game. Sadly whether I buy PES or Fifa is usually determined by what games my friends will buy and every year without fail, it ends up being Fifa due to the licences, hype and other bells and whistles. Could do with a bit more balancing perhaps. No carbon-copy counter attacks where the AI defenders take up the exact same (usually illogical) defensive positions each time to allow players to waltz down the opposite end of the pitch, etc, etc.Īs a consequence, games feel a bit of a stalemate, but then games between players of similar skill should be close. None of your attacking players doing that stupid stretch/tackle animation when they receive a moderately hit pass. None of this excessive forced turnover nonsense when a player screws up a straightforward pass by randomly underhitting it or knocking it in the opposite direction to what you've pressed. I know what you mean about midfield battles, but I guess that's partly because PES legitimately lets you control your players (robotic as they sometimes feel) whereas Fifa's "drama" is often manufactured by the AI as much as it is by the user. But pes has potential, maybe not this year but who knows. I just wish you could control the players more fluid, like in FIFA. Seems harder to score goals, makes you actually work for it, can't just take random shots and get corners like in 16, I hope 17 is addressed in the right way when it launches.Īfter playing pes 17 demo for about 3 hours I was really impressed, tried pes 16 last year and hated it.īut I do prefer FIFA, pes just seems so easy to defend, me and a few mates hardly conceded any goals, the match just stays in the midfield, But PES gameplay and passing is miles above FIFA.

I've played an absolute ton of FIFA and I would prefer to play FIFA as you can't find a game on PES. I'm well aware that certain things in PES are not as good or even close to FIFA. I played a lot of PES 16 and it doesn't stick out and annoy me. In my opinion you're noticing it because you play FIFA a lot.

Gameplay is quite good, but arent you fed up of that robotic moves of all players? Looks so unrealistic. The gameplay and passing is so good on PES. I have bad Vertigo problems and the constant blur that PES has makes me dizzy. PES has much better and more realistic gameplay.įIFA absolutely smashes PES on the graphics front of the pitch, stadium and so on. It's hard to play both FIFA and PES and appreciate them both.įIFA is faster, more frantic and I'd say almost arcade like catered to quick fun.
